Jurgen Klopp announces Erling Haaland a Man City admission and defends Pep Guardiola

Manchester City is close to signing Erling Haaland. Liverpool FC manager Jurgen Klopp has made comments on the news. Jurgen Klopp claims Erling Haaland will help make Manchester City stronger in their struggle against Liverpool for silverware in the United States and Europe.

The City is close to getting forward Haaland of Borussia Dortmund. There are reports that the player passed his health test in Brussels this morning. The rumours of Erling Haaland’s imminent arrival grew in the early hours of the day. Klopp had to be asked about how the signing of Haaland could influence the title race at his press conference before Liverpool’s match against Aston Villa.

“I signed a new contract knowing City will not stop developing,” Klopp stated. “It’s the team, and it’s not about City to determine whether we are satisfied with the club or not. It’s all about us and what we can make of it.

“You have so many chances and numerous options to win a football match. It’s up to us to choose one. It’s not impossible, and it’s possible when you play City in three or two games, Champions League — every year six times, more frequently than the other players!

“We play against all the other teams, yes. But if Erling Haaland goes there that will not weaken them. Definitely not. I know in the moment that other people talk about money, but this transfer will set new levels. Let me say this!”

Klopp added more details to Pep Guardiola’s remarks that “everyone” in England believes in Liverpool for the championship race. He stated earlier that Guardiola might have commented on the moment’s pressure, but he also said that he did not believe in the notion.

Then, he said Liverpool should consider the criticism as a compliment. He also defends Guardiola and all managers who hold several interviews after an event.

“I think we should take it as a backhanded compliment if he means it as a backhanded compliment,” Klopp observed.

“Imagine how the situation might not be the same If we were not so close. Imagine the scenario. Then the interviews will be dull like anything else. You must ensure excitement and an exciting contest to see who will remain at the top of the table and can be selected to play in The Champions League.

“That is normal. Everyone feels the tension, and we can’t claim that we aren’t feeling the pressure. Following watching the Tottenham game, it’s not something I would have thought was good that it occurred, but before you could confront your feelings, you’ve already had to face twenty cameras.

“That does happen, and it’s the way Pep was doing. I don’t see this as a compliment, in a way. What I said at the press conference that I was in or anyone else said, He probably believed it was necessary to emphasize the point.

“You know much better than I do, it is not the case. It is all fine, nothing Pep said will change our situation and it’s absolutely fine.” So this was all about Erling Haaland.
